26.2 in DC

This past week I went to Washington, DC with one of my best friends, Hannah. As I posted the first part of last week, we did a 5k on St. Patrick’s Day to start the week off. By the end of Wednesday we had added 15.8 miles to the total by walking around DC. I’m not sure if you have ever been to DC, but there is definitely a lot of walking to be done. This is Tuesdays route:

So, 5.5 on Tuesday… and then Wednesday:

We did 7.8 miles. They were great days, the sun was out and we were able to see a lot of DC. Some people may think it would be better to take a bus, or the metro, but we really enjoyed being able to see more of the city while we were walking from place to place. After we realized how many miles we had done through Wednesday, we made it our goal to complete a full Marathon throughout the rest of the week. And… we did it! So, if you plan to go to DC, but up for lots of walking. I guess you could always take the bus/metro, but it won’t be as fun!
