Bulging disc?!

Well, I went to the chiropractor today for the second appointment after my wreck and she sent me down for x-rays. The x-rays showed that my neck is no longer curved the correct way, but it is actually starting to curve the opposite way. I also have a bulging disc. What does this mean for my running? Well, she said I should quit running and just walk. My answer… take it somewhat easy, but to not stop running.

I have my first 10k in just under a month and I want to complete it in under 1 hour and 15 minutes. Which means I will need to average at a 12 mph pace, roughly. This should be doable as long as I am able to keep up my training regimen. As long as I am not in pain, I will continue. I am praying that God will protect my neck and will heal it even while I continue running!!!

It was a short one, but that’s all I have for now.
